Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care for patients in the 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, including those recovering from open heart surgery, ventricular assist device implantation, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement. Execute evidence-based interventions for invasive lines, hemodynamic needs, and continuous dialysis while documenting the nursing process in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with the healthcare team to drive improvement through Performance Improvement initiatives and mentor peers, adhering to all organizational policies and clinical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- BLS required before patient contact
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Unit specific certifications may be required
