Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care for cardiovascular patients in the CVICU, including open heart surgery, ventricular assist devices, and interventional procedures. Monitor hemodynamic needs, manage invasive lines and medications, and execute evidence-based interventions while documenting the nursing process in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with the healthcare team to drive performance improvement initiatives and mentor peers within a 16-bed unit. Full-time night shift with flexible self-scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- BLS required before patient contact
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Unit specific certifications may be required
