Job Summary
Conduct holistic assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs, recognizing abnormal data and reporting changes to physicians. Develop and prioritize individualized plans of care with measurable goals, communicating updates via SBAR during shift reports and care conferences. Implement evidence-based interventions, provide patient education, and respond to emergency situations with controlled precision. Evaluate care effectiveness against standards and adjust plans based on patient response. Document all activities accurately in the electronic medical record and participate in unit-based performance improvement projects. Maintain competency through annual education and mentor peers as a resource for multidisciplinary team members.
Required Qualifications
- current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
- BSN within 5 years of the date of hire
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- certification in area of clinical specialty within five years of eligibility
- 100% on-time completion and attendance for annual education day
- ability to accept and implement change
- ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
Desired Qualifications

- Certification specific to work area of professional practice when eligible
