Job Summary
Conduct direct and indirect nursing care for residents as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to facility standards and federal/state regulations. Manage personnel on the unit and review daily assignments of nursing staff to verify duties match ability and training. Initiate and update nursing care plans for residents while assisting in the development and implementation of each resident's plan of care. Total care responsibility for all residents on the unit includes supervision of direct care staff to ensure needs are met. Requires current Indiana license, accredited nursing school graduation, and at least one year in long-term care. Shifts include PT and FT options (6a-2p, 2-10p, 10p-6a) with PRN availability at Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Centre in Portland, Indiana.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Hold a current license by the State of Indiana in good standing
- Must display good emotional health
- Be capable of extended periods of standing
