Job Summary
Prepare patients for non-invasive hysteroscopy, chorionic villus sampling, and other gynecological procedures while performing comprehensive assessments and supporting recovery. Conduct patient-centered communication and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including students, in a learning-focused environment. Maintain competence in vascular access insertion and device selection, utilizing strong clinical judgment and post-anaesthetic nursing experience. Requires current Ontario RN registration, BCLS certification, and preferred post-graduate Operating Room certificate with two years of conscious sedation experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current Ontario RN Registration
- Current BCLS certification
- B.Sc.N.
- Completion of a post‐graduate Operating Room (O.R.) certificate
- Current or recent related O.R. experience
- Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
- Post‐anaesthetic nursing experience
- Competence in vascular access insertion
- Device selection
Desired Qualifications
- B.Sc.N. preferred
- Completion of a post‐graduate Operating Room (O.R.) certificate with current or recent related O.R. experience
- Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience and post‐anaesthetic nursing experience preferred
- Nursing Oncology certification preferred
- Recent Surgical Oncology nursing experience an asset
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient‐teaching skills
- Ability to work effectively in a Patient‐Focused Care environment within a multidisciplinary team, including students
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Demonstrated commitment to Person‐Centred Care principles
