Job Summary
Record patient medical histories, take vital signs, and monitor conditions including fluid intake and output. Administer medications, perform wound care, and assist residents with daily activities such as eating and bathing. Collect lab samples, provide emotional support, and communicate with families regarding care plans and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate patient charts and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. This role requires an RN with a current unrestricted license and experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric settings. Candidates must possess strong leadership abilities for supervising LPNs and CNAs, proficiency in electronic health records, and current CPR/BLS certification. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing processes, care planning, and clinical assessment.
- Ability to perform comprehensive resident assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Skilled in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy (where permitted), and complex clinical interventions.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising LPNs, CNAs, and other support staff.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care facilities, including standards established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives, infection control programs, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems.
- Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to resident-centered care, advocacy, and maintaining resident dignity and safety.
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Background check and pre-employment drug screen required.
