Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the 5D-Long Term Ventilator and Respiratory Complex Continuing Care unit. Responsibilities include planning, managing, evaluating and coordinating comprehensive professional nursing care, applying geriatric and dementia care knowledge, educating patients and families, participating in inter-professional rounds and care planning, providing mentorship to students and new staff, and contributing to hospital-wide initiatives with a focus on patient safety and inter-disciplinary teamwork. Requires nursing diploma with a preferred Baccalaureate degree, current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, strong communication and decision-making skills, and proficiency with electronic patient records. 20 hours per week, day/night shifts, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Potential criminal record check and HOOPP benefits are noted.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Ability to perform essential clinical duties of the job
- Computer literacy and EPR experience
