Job Summary
Provide skilled nursing care to acute, subacute, and chronically ill residents according to established care plans and federal/state regulations. Administer medications and treatments while maintaining competency in required nursing skills, ensuring accurate distribution per the 5 rights and monitoring for side effects. Direct ancillary staff, monitor unit workflow, and utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Maintain medication inventory, respond promptly to alarms, and implement restraint alternatives including personal alarms and cushion alarms. Ensure preventative measures such as skin checks, turning schedules, and toileting protocols are in place, and provide end-of-life care including comfort measures and post-mortem procedures. Participate in shift reports and communicate resident conditions to families. Work evening shifts with 36 weekly hours in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
