Job Summary
Provide nursing care to designated residents under Nursing Administration; supervise and coordinate activities of certified nursing assistants; administer prescribed medications and treatments; assess residents, document findings, and update care plans; instruct and supervise nursing assistants; admit and orient new residents; participate in rounds with physicians; ensure unit safety, cleanliness, and compliance with policies; may assume charge nurse responsibilities; contribute to resident care plans and daily care activities including dining and nourishment supervision; requires physical ability to lift residents and handle emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current registration in New York State
- LPNs CPR training (for LPNs) or RN CPR/BLS certification as applicable
