Job Summary
Conduct safe, age-appropriate patient care for a 29-bed surgical oncology unit focusing on GYN malignancies, solid tumors, orthopedic cancer, and hematologic cancers. Manage a large, complex post-surgical population with complications from disease and chemotherapy, serving as an advisor and resource for patients and families. Develop strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills while building relationships with patients and their families. Work full-time night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. Requires an Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing, Maryland RN license, and AHA CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
- Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Less than 1 year of experience
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse, registered to practice in Maryland
- American Heart Association CPR Certification
