Job Summary
REGISTERED NURSE (RN) at Liberty Commons of Lee County delivers quality geriatric nursing care by following physician orders, state/federal regulations, and facility policies. Responsibilities include administering medications (oral, SQ, IM, IV), supervising nursing assistants and orderlies, assisting physicians with rounds, supporting patient care during exams and treatments, performing scheduled treatments, maintaining infection control and universal precautions, contributing to research on care quality, assisting with admissions processing and scheduling annual physicals, and ensuring timely documentation and communication with families and other departments. Requires RN licensure in NC, graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, CPR certification, and the ability to supervise staff; location Sanford, NC. EO E.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current, valid nursing license from North Carolina Board of Nursing
- CPR certified yearly
- Ability to supervise nursing assistants
- Ability to follow physician orders and facility policies
- Experience with infection control and universal precautions
- Attend in-service training and staff meetings
- Background checks/drug-free workplace
