Job Summary
Provide quality nursing care for geriatric patients following physician orders, state/federal regulations, and facility policies. Administer medications (oral, SQ, IM, IV) as ordered; supervise nursing assistants and orderlies; assist physicians with rounds; participate in patient care during rounds, exams, and treatments; maintain infection control and Universal Precautions; contribute to nursing-care research and documentation; assist with admissions assessments, scheduling annual physicals, and ensuring timely documentation. Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in NC, CPR certified, and capable of coordinating with physicians, families, and other staff. Background checks and a drug-free workplace are required. Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing
- CPR certified yearly
- Background checks/drug-free workplace
- Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required
