Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to resolve needs. Synthesize data to optimize outcomes based on ANA standards and demonstrate commitment to quality and safety through evidence-based practice. Utilize effective communication with patients, families, and staff; coordinate patient education; and perform validated technical skills specific to the clinical specialty. Lead by teaching and mentoring new colleagues, delegating tasks based on team member skills and patient acuity, and providing input for performance appraisals. Maintain clinical competency and support unit goals through participation in performance improvement processes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
