Job Summary
Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization in the Leesburg Cath Lab. Conduct thorough pre- and post-procedure assessments, prepare patients and procedure rooms, monitor hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms, administer medications and moderate sedation per protocol, and respond to changes in patient condition. Maintain sterile technique and radiation safety, document care in the electronic medical record, and educate patients and families about procedures and recovery. Collaborate with interventional cardiology and multidisciplinary team to support high-quality, patient-centered cardiac care in a leading academic health system.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Florida
- Cardiovascular orCritical Care nursing experience preferred
- BLS/ACLS certification
- Proficient in EHR/documentation
- Ability to administer medications and moderate sedation per protocol
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
