Job Summary
Communicate with multidisciplinary team members, provide accurate handoffs, and establish individualized nursing diagnoses to formulate care plans. Assess and reassess patients regularly, evaluate responses to interventions, and initiate discharge planning while providing education on hospitalization, medications, and follow-up needs. Administer safe medication practices, manage patients with preeclampsia, labor and delivery, post-operative care, and infants requiring oxygen, antibiotics, or phototherapy. Perform amnio infusions, place NG tubes, and assist with intrauterine pressure catheter insertion. Work nights at Rutherford Regional Health System, a 143-bed acute care facility partnering with Duke LifePoint Healthcare. Requires 1-3 years of Women's Services experience, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, and certifications including BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and STABLE.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license)
- 1-3 years of Women's Services experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- PALS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- STABLE
