Job Summary
ER Registered Nurse in the Brandon Hospital Emergency Department providing clinical nursing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Responsibilities include triage, patient preparation and admission processes, medication administration, patient and family education on medications and treatment instructions, and maintaining/ reviewing patient records. Requires Florida RN license or compact licensure, Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), and certifications including BLS, ACLS within 6 months, PALS/ENPC within 6 months, and NIHSS within 6 months; prior acute care experience is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Florida RN license or appropriate compact licensure with active FL license within 60 days of hire
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer
- PALS or ENPC certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer
- NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer
- Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
