Job Summary
Conduct nursing assessments, administer medications, and manage sick calls for students at the Health and Wellness Center. Provide clinical documentation, coordinate healthcare referrals, and monitor chronic conditions while maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient confidentiality. Respond to medical emergencies and deliver health education on disease prevention and wellness. Work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Requires a current Tennessee RN license, BLS certification, and experience with adolescent populations.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid to practice in Tennessee
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Relevant professional nursing experience
- Ability to work effectively with adolescent and young-adult populations
- Ability to assess health concerns
- Ability to prioritize clinical needs
- Ability to respond appropriately to urgent situations
- Strong clinical documentation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to appropriately handle sensitive student health information
- Must successfully complete all required background, suitability, credentialing, and onboarding requirements
