Job Summary
Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery responsible for leading patient care by collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans; document patient care and ensure completion of nursing interventions; advocate for patients; educate patients and families; communicate using SBARQ; perform routine nursing tasks (IVs, dressing changes, medications) and respond to critical situations (CPR). Requires a BSN (preferred) and RN licensure; 1 year LD experience preferred; includes on-call duties and travel between campus facilities; 4-year degree preferred; sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN licensure in applicable state
- CPI certification within three months of hire for Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, and Central Staffing and Scheduling Office (CSSO)
- Ability to perform basic nursing skills on groups of patients and ability to assume charge responsibility
- Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly
- Ability to administer medication utilizing the five rights
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written form
- Basic computer knowledge
