Job Summary

Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period, including fetal monitoring, newborn care, and emergency response. Perform and interpret comprehensive assessments, administer medications safely, and develop individualized plans of care while collaborating with providers and neonatal teams. Recognize changes in patient condition, initiate appropriate interventions, and document assessments accurately in the electronic health record. Maintain competency in specialty equipment and adhere to high-risk and clinical competency requirements. On-call may be required. Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska or other U.S. state
  • Direct hire must have applied for an Alaska nursing license at the time of hire
  • Agency staff must have an active Alaska license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • High Risk Competency
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, evidence-based practice, medication safety, and infection prevention
  • Strong clinical judgment, organization, prioritization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical systems
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, stooping, and kneeling
  • Ability to work in a moderate-to-high noise clinical environment
  • Must be competent in the use of all equipment in specialty
  • On-call availability
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
