Job Summary
Assess psychosocial, spiritual, and diversity needs for labor and delivery patients; construct and implement individualized plans of care integrating direct and indirect activities. Coordinate interdisciplinary care goals, treatment plans, and discharge strategies while collaborating with designated care partners on educational, physical, and psychological support. Provide constant monitoring and critical nursing care during intrapartum periods, managing obstetrical emergencies and conditions. Deliver comprehensive pregnancy and postpartum education to patients and families. Full-time role at 36 hours per week with night shift schedule; NRP and ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Current Nevada nursing license
- Current BLS certificate
- NRP (within 6 mo. of hire)
- STABLE (within 6 mo. of hire)
- ACLS (or obtained within six months of employment)
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
- Fetal Monitoring (within 6 months of hire)
Desired Qualifications
- One year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting
