Job Summary
Assess psychosocial, spiritual, and diversity needs for laboring patients and families. Construct and implement individualized plans of care addressing obstetrical conditions and co-morbidities. Coordinate interdisciplinary care, develop discharge plans, and collaborate with designated care partners on educational and physical needs. Provide constant monitoring, medical support, and critical nursing care during intrapartum periods, including labor, birth, and obstetrical emergencies. Deliver comprehensive pregnancy and postpartum education while maintaining service excellence standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Current Nevada nursing license
- Current BLS certificate
- NRP, STABLE within 6 mo. of hire
- ACLS (or obtained within six months of employment)
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
- Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting
