Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients in Labor & Delivery. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information while performing duties consistent with Mercy service standards. Requires current RN license, BSN or higher, and Basic Life Support certification. Shifts are part-time, varying 12-hour weeks. Located at Mercy Hospital Perry in Perryville, Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- The ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- The ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
