Job Summary
Provide quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care in a perinatal unit, supporting patient well-being through comprehensive assessment, individualized care planning, and patient education. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments on admission, identifying problems and outcomes, planning and delivering nursing care, documenting accurately, administering medications and solutions safely, reassessing patient condition, and facilitating staff development. Must function in stressful environments, work up to 12-hour shifts, and be available for on-call requirements. Requires Tennessee nursing licensure, a nursing diploma or degree, BLS within 90 days, and relevant certifications (NRP, ACLS within specified timelines); perinatal experience and lactation consultation skills are preferred. Location: Fairview, TN.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- At least one year perinatal experience preferred.
- Certified Lactation Consultant, preferred.
- NRP within six months of hire.
- ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
- Level I, Level II and fetal monitoring within 1 year of hire.
