Job Summary
Provide quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care in an environment focused on holistic patient needs, combining emotional support and education with high-level medical and nursing care. Requires Tennessee nursing licensure with either a nursing diploma or degree, BLS within 90 days of hire, and readiness to obtain NRP within six months and ACLS within six months. Perinatal experience is preferred, with Level I/II fetal monitoring training within one year. The role operates in the perinatal OB-GYN unit, performing comprehensive assessments, planning individualized care, patient teaching, medication administration, and ensuring timely documentation, with the ability to work under pressure and to stand for up to 12 hours and lift up to 250 lbs. Occasional on-call requirements apply.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- At least one year perinatal experience preferred
- Certified Lactation Consultant, preferred
- NRP within six months of hire
- ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire
- Level I, Level II and fetal monitoring within 1 year of hire
