Job Summary

Coordinate patient-centered care in Labor & Delivery, including comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of individualized plans of care. Lead by delegating tasks to support personnel and collaborate with ancillary staff to maintain professional standards and ensure patient safety. Provide patient and family teaching while advocating for their needs and evaluating progress toward desired outcomes. Adhere to Michigan Public Health Code Act 368 and ANA standards, including evidence-based practice and ethical provisions. Work full-time nights (7:00 pm – 7:30 am) every two weeks, rotating weekends, with a pay range of $34.00 – $49.18/hour. Requires current Michigan RN license, BLS certification, and preferred BSN and recent specialty experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Registered Nursing Program
  • Current Michigan RN License (or completed by end of orientation)
  • Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider (or completed within 60 days of hire)
  • 2 years prior RN experience in desired specialty area
  • Neonatal Resuscitation required

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science Nursing (BSN)
  • Certification in specialty area (CCRN, CRN, CNOR, CEN, etc)
  • Recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience
  • Prior experience with electronic patient documentation system
  • Prior experience with technology common to specialty area (i.e., cardiac monitors, IV pumps)
  • Bilingual
  • ACLS Certification or completed within one year of hire
  • PALS certification or completed within one year of hire
  • NRP Certification or completed within one year of hire
