Job Summary
Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for acutely ill patients through the nursing process. Direct care delivery by coordinating with physicians, families, and ancillary staff while evaluating patient responses to interventions. Collaborate with the health team to create documented plans focused on specific outcomes and decisions. Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects to advance practice using evidence-based research. Maintain ANA standards of professional nursing practice and adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards. Requires a BSN, current Illinois RN license, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong analytic abilities
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role
- ACLS
- PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support TNCC within one year of hire
- Background check authorization and disclosure form completion
