Job Summary
Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for labor and delivery and postpartum patients. Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care. Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high quality patient experience. Work night shifts (2300-0730 or 1900-0730) at Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals with weekend and holiday requirements per level agreement. Requires current Illinois nursing licensure, BSN preferred, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL
- Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing
- BLS/ ACLS/PALS / NRP Certification for the Healthcare Provider
- A minimum two years of recent acute care clinical experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum experience
- Labor and Delivery and postpartum experience
- Night shift 2300-0730 and 1900-0730
- Weekend and holiday requirements
- Required Travel: Evanston and Highland Hospital
