Job Summary

Provide direct and indirect nursing care for assigned patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including triage, antepartum, and delivery rooms. Supervise assigned personnel and manage high-risk deliveries such as TOLACs, external cephalic versions, and cesarean births. Maintain ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications while interpreting department policies and communicating with the OR/GYN team. Work night shifts in a 548-bed teaching hospital with 16 private labor rooms and six triage areas.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's in Nursing
  • One year of Nursing/Patient Care
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
  • Compact State Licensure in Nursing
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • NRP certification
  • De-escalation training
  • Night Shift availability

  • Experience with singletons, twins & triplets
