Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, social, psychological, and communication needs while developing individualized care plans and coordinating interdisciplinary team efforts. Deliver patient care in alignment with clinical guidelines, monitor responses to interventions, and adjust care strategies based on progress toward established goals. Prioritize time, supplies, and resources to manage patient care effectively, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to legal and ethical standards. Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, part-time, 24 hours per week at Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of hire
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date (for RNs with less than 12 months of experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Night shift availability (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Part-time status availability (24 hours per week)
- Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment including heavy items
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Ability to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
