Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for labor and delivery units using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Direct care teams through delegation and coordination, manage patient priorities, and document accurate, timely information while adhering to legal and ethical standards. Provide patient and family education, prepare individuals for support needs, and revise care plans based on clinical outcomes and satisfaction. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and BSN degree; includes 36 weekly hours at $37.45–$57.29 hourly in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025
- Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
