Job Summary

Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for obstetric patients. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans, coordinates patient education and referrals, delegates care as appropriate, and ensures documentation complies with licensure requirements. Requires active RN license, BLS certification, and typically a BSN (as per updated qualification requirements). Provides direct patient care and participates in evaluating outcomes and adjusting plans as needed; maintains professional standards and practice within regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years for RNs with less than 12 months of experience; BSN preferred and required as of 4/27/2025 update.
