Job Summary
Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care, and accurately note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate throughout the shift. This role requires a Licensed Registered Nurse with at least one year of Labor and Delivery experience, including mandatory Advanced Life Support, BLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation certifications. Schedule is nights with PRN availability at Saint Thomas Midtown within Ascension's nonprofit Catholic health system.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition 'Compact State' obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
- 1+ years RN Labor and Delivery Experience
