Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients in Labor and Delivery using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Direct the care team through delegation and coordination, manage patient priorities and resources, and continuously revise care plans based on clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Provide accurate documentation, ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, and maintain BLS certification while adhering to Intermountain's wellness and safety policies. This role requires a current RN license, BSN degree, and experience with patient transfers and equipment in a busy hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025
- Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
- Sign on bonus eligible - A $20,000 sign on bonus is available to external candidates with experience
- Relocation assistance for out of state candidates
- Eligible for evening (7p-11p; 10%)
- Night differential ( 11p-7a; 15%)
- Weekend shift differential (Fri 11p- Sun 11p; 15%)
