Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and therapeutic intervention. Direct the interdisciplinary care team via delegation and coordination while managing time, supplies, and resources to deliver patient care. Collaborate with physicians, family, and support staff to develop individualized care plans, including education and referrals. Evaluate patient response to interventions and revise care plans as needed. Provide accurate and timely documentation while adhering to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. Maintain BLS certification and ensure all activities align with professional licensure provisions.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
- Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
- Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
- Must comply with all applicable Intermountain policies and expectations
- Must acknowledge that outside employment or activities may not interfere with job responsibilities or create a conflict of interest with Intermountain
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in addition to relocation assistance for out of state candidates
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) obtained from an accredited institution
- BSN is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025
- Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire
