Job Summary
Coordinate and implement care for adult patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab as a circulator, scrub, or monitor. Perform holding duties ensuring correct patient prep, administer medications to critically ill patients, and safely manage hemostasis. Analyze patient assessments, enter orders and charges, and provide perioperative education to patients and families. Escort families to cardiology or cath lab areas as needed and conduct point-of-care testing per policy. Maintain constant alertness and function independently during stressful situations while adhering to unit standards of care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
