Registered Nurse - IV Team - PRN/Casual

Job Summary
RN to join the IV Team on a casual/PRN basis. Responsibilities include placement and care of peripheral IVs, midlines, and PICC lines for inpatient populations. Requires strong IV insertion skills and solid IV therapy knowledge with on-the-job PICC training available. Education requirements include BSN or MSN, or ADN with plan to obtain higher degree within 5 years. Must hold or be eligible for Nebraska RN licensure (or a compact multistate license). Typical shifts are 7:00–3:30 and 3:00–11:30; minimum two shifts per month. The role supports inpatient IV care across Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE within Nebraska Methodist Health System.
Required Qualifications
- Education: BSN or MSN from an accredited nursing program or ADN with requirement to obtain higher degree within 5 years
- Current Nebraska RN license, or valid compact multistate license, or temporary permit
- Experience/Skills: Strong IV insertion skills; experience with IV therapy including peripheral, midlines, PICC; ability to perform assessments and participate in discharge planning; ability to work in an inpatient setting; flexibility to work casual/PRN shifts; familiarity with hospital policies and professional standards
