Job Summary
Coordinate and implement care for adult patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab as a circulator, scrub, or monitor. Perform holding duties to ensure patients are correctly prepped, administer medications based on critical judgment, and safely manage hemostasis. Routinely enter patient orders and charges while providing perioperative education to patients and families. Escort families to appropriate areas and perform point-of-care testing as needed. Maintain constant alertness and function independently during stressful situations, reporting abnormal information to physicians promptly. Work the day shift with 40 weekly hours in the Special Procedures-Radiology department.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
