Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs throughout all phases of interventional radiology procedures while partnering with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care. Support therapeutic interventions using advanced imaging technology and uphold the highest standards of patient safety, comfort, and education before, during, and after procedures. Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a modern facility designed for procedural innovation, requiring on-site availability within 30 minutes for overnight and weekend rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must be able to arrive on site within 30 minutes when called in
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Expected to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verification required)
- Previous experience in Interventional Radiology or a related procedural specialty or critical care
- 2 years RN experience
