Job Summary
Coordinate and implement care for adult patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab as a circulator, scrub, or monitor. Perform holding duties to ensure patient prep accuracy, administer medications based on critical judgment, and safely manage hemostasis. Routinely enter patient orders and charges while providing independent care to critically ill patients in stressful situations. Educate patients and families on perioperative procedures, escort them to cardiology or cath lab areas, and conduct point-of-care testing as needed. Maintain constant alertness and operate in a safe manner throughout the day shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
