Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Mayo Clinic's Internal Travel Team rotates across Mayo Clinic sites in AZ, FL, MN, and WI to cover PCU or Med/Surg units. The role includes coordinating nursing care, patient/family education, and transitions of care; leadership through preceptorship and quality-improvement activities; and contingency staffing across Mayo Clinic sites with routine travel to multiple locations. Requires completion of orientation coursework (FCCN and ACLS if not certified; PCCN may substitute FCCN) and valid multi-state RN licensure for MN, WI, AZ, and FL. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship and involves variable work locations with travel, a flexible schedule, and emphasis on professional practice within Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model.
Required Qualifications
- Current multi-state RN licenses: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Florida
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or Red Cross
- ACLS coursework completion or FCCN coursework (if not already certified)
- Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program (ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited or eligibility)
- Minimum one year RN experience in PCU (ICU step-down) or ICU
- Ability to work flexible hours including days/evenings/nights/holidays/weekends and on-call
- Excellent communication and leadership/mentoring abilities
- Experience with electronic medical record systems preferred
