Job Summary
Gather and update patient information and vital signs, administer medications and vaccines, perform diagnostic screenings, and collect specimens for testing. Conduct in-office clinical procedures, review orders within the EMR, and relay lab results to patients. Provide patient education, document care accurately, and respond to urgent acute situations based on prioritization skills. Coordinate care with in-house specialties, community resources, and home health while adhering to industry guidelines and HIPAA policies. Maintain strict confidentiality and complete mandatory educational requirements. Requires an active Maine RN license, BLS certification, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- ADN or BSN from an accredited institution
- 0+ years of experience
- Unencumbered active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Maine
- BLS required within 6 weeks of hire
- Demonstrates excellent professional judgement, phone skills and prioritization decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to rapidly changing, sometimes acute patient care needs
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications
Desired Qualifications
- electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred
