Job Summary
Manage ambulatory care for patients in outpatient settings by gathering vital signs, administering medications, performing diagnostic screenings, and collecting specimens. Coordinate clinical procedures within the EMR, relay test results to patients, and provide education while documenting care accurately. Respond to urgent acute situations, prioritize tasks, and treat patients based on assessment or standing orders. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and community resources to manage patient care, ensuring adherence to industry guidelines, HIPAA, and InterMed policies. Maintain strict confidentiality and complete mandatory certifications.
Required Qualifications
- ADN or BSN from an accredited institution
- Unencumbered active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Maine
- BLS required within 6 weeks of hire
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications
- Electronic medical record (EMR) experience
- Demonstrates excellent professional judgement
- Phone skills
- Prioritization decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to respond to rapidly changing, sometimes acute patient care needs
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Desired Qualifications
