Job Summary
RN Intern will work closely with the Nurse Manager, Lead Nurses and nursing staff to learn radiation oncology nursing care. Responsibilities include greeting patients, observing consultations and treatment visits, assisting with day-to-day department tasks, observing RNs and nurse navigators, facilitating patient questionnaire completion, and supporting communication with referring providers while complying with HIPAA. The role emphasizes learning and observation within a proton therapy oncology setting, under guidance of the nursing team.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Desire to increase knowledge in Radiation Oncology Nursing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Highly motivated with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
