Registered Nurse Intern Acute Care

Assess clinical and diagnostic data of the surgical population, troubleshoot unit-specific equipment, and monitor patient hemodynamic responses to interdisciplinary plans of care. Perform tracheostomy care, administer medications via PCA or epidural pumps, and interpret ABG results to intervene appropriately. Conduct initial vital signs, obtain complete nursing admission assessments within eight hours, and establish priorities for patient care based on physiological and psychological factors. Provide individualized teaching regarding surgical procedures, telemetry monitoring, and vasoactive medication administration while documenting patient responses and progress toward established goals every shift.
