Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals in a mixed acuity unit, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation and coordination while managing priorities, supplies, and resources to ensure timely delivery. Collaborate with physicians, families, and support staff to develop individualized care plans, educate patients, and coordinate referrals. Evaluate patient responses to interventions, revise care plans as needed, and provide accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Manage complex conditions including strokes, sepsis, and respiratory support while maintaining BLS certification. Requires a current RN license and BSN degree; offers $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced night-shift candidates.

Required Qualifications

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
Previous Charge Nurse experience
RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
Must be able to set priorities and to coordinate and organize patient care delivery through effectively managing time, supplies, and resources
Must be able to integrate legal and ethical standards into practice, comply with regulatory standards, practice within scope of licensure, provide accurate & timely documentation, and understand legal implications of care delivery
