Job Summary
Staff Nurse in an Intermediate Care Unit providing highly professional, technically skilled nursing care using the nursing process, supervising assigned team members, and collaborating with multidisciplinary staff to deliver patient-centered care. Responsibilities include direct/indirect patient care, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, accurate and timely written communication of patient information, medication and IV administration, and ongoing professional growth within a fast-paced hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program
- BSN preferred or higher
- Knowledgeable about hospital policies and nursing care standards
- Ability to communicate clearly and work with multidisciplinary teams
