Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications and treatments safely, and respond promptly to medical emergencies. Collaborate with physicians and therapists to coordinate care, educate patients on treatment plans, and maintain accurate records. Mix chemotherapy medication as needed for Oncology cases while adhering to infection control protocols and quality improvement initiatives. Monday-Friday shifts available; hourly rate commensurate with experience and specialty certifications. Requires current RN license, BLS, and accredited nursing degree. Preferred qualifications include Hematology-Oncology infusion experience and OCN certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of nursing principles, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Hematology-Oncology and Rheumatology Infusion experience
- Oncology Certifications (ONS/OCNN or OCN)
- Experience working in specialized units
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong communication and leadership skills with experience in patient education or mentoring
