Job Summary

Assess, recognize, and address patients' psychological and physical needs while overseeing care delivered by LPNs and CNAs. Implement individualized treatment plans, participate in clinical team conferences, and comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines. Communicate compassionately with patients and families, interpret monitor alarms, and manage complex equipment with precision. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused outcomes, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory standards. Night shift, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis. Located at St James Healthcare in Butte, MT.

Required Qualifications

  • BSN Degree from an accredited program
  • Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS certification
  • TNCC or TCAR certification
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
  • Ability to write reports
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or regulatory agencies
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts
  • Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
  • Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
  • Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
  • Night shift availability
