Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments to develop and update individualized patient care plans. Administer prescribed medications and manage venous access devices while monitoring patients for adverse reactions, complications, and pain levels. Perform venous punctures, reconstitute medications per manufacturer guidelines, and educate patients and caregivers on self-monitoring and pain management. Maintain strict aseptic techniques, obtain physician orders, and document all care accurately and timely. Adhere to agency payroll, billing, and documentation policies while participating in staff meetings and training to maintain clinical competencies.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active and in good standing registered nurse license in the state of employment
- Current BLS
- Valid Driver's License and Insurance
- Submit to a background check
- Able to walk, kneel, transfer without assist and being able to assist patients to do same
- Able to manage weights over 100 pounds safely, such as patient partial transfer assist
- Vision and hearing within normal limits
- Hand dexterity and strength sufficient to manipulate keyboard, access vials start IV's, program pumps, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- CRNI or IGNC certification preferred
- Membership or affiliation with an association for infusion nurses preferred
