Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to surgical inpatients following established standards and practices; assist physicians and staff with daily coordination of patient care, patient access, scheduling of procedures/tests/referrals, and may serve as preceptor for clinical staff; document all patient care activities accurately; collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate care, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement initiatives; demonstrate independent clinical judgment, leadership within scope of practice, and mentorship to other staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Current Louisiana State license as RN and BLS certification
- Proficient in the English language, verbal and written communication skills
- Per license requirements
